Contour was founded on the belief that every boat deserves an accurate and lasting portrait.

Contour is a team of sailors who are also graphic designers and image makers.

The team is led by Jean-François Seguin, an award-winning advertising photographer whose work has received numerous international distinctions, including recognitions from Lürzer’s Archive 200 Best Advertising Photographers Worldwide, Communication Arts, and Applied Arts, for various advertising campaigns.

As lifelong sailors, they bring a practical understanding of boats to the work. Not only their lines, but the details that matter on the water—rigging, deck fittings, sail numbers, and the many elements that distinguish one boat from another.

Each portrait is developed from photographic references and technical reconstruction to reflect the boat as she is - her exact configuration, her specific character. The aim is not to produce a generic representation of a class, but a faithful record of your boat.
